You'll find this impossible to believe but Patriots coach Bill Belichick thinks midseason grades are dumb. That was the implicit understanding until Wednesday, when he crystalized his thoughts in response to a question that described quarterback Tom Brady as "just about everybody's midseason MVP."

According to CSNNE.com's Tom Curran, Belichick scrunched his face before responding.

"That's great," he began. "But honestly I don't think anybody is really focused on that. We're focused on the Giants. And some midseason report card, who cares? What difference does it make? Give me an F. Give me a C+. Right now we're focused on the Giants. That's all I really care about."

The reporter pressed on, asking what grade Belichick would give Brady, who is having another MVP season.

"I don't give grades," he said. "I'm worried about the Giants. We're trying to beat the Giants. I don't really care about some midseason midterm grades. Give me whatever you want."

Certainly Belichick will change his tune when he learns that CBSSports.com senior NFL columnist Pete Prisco named Brady, tight end Rob Gronkowski, linebacker Dont'a Hightower and kicker Stephen Gostkowski to his Midseason All-Prisco Team.

No? OK, we're (collectively) on to New York.
