The Columbus Blue Jackets will host the 2015 NHL All-Star Game, the league announced Saturday. The all-star festival, which includes the game and the NHL All-Star Skills Competition, will be held Jan. 24-25, 2015 at Nationwide Arena.

Columbus was due to host the 2013 All-Star Game, but it was wiped out by last season’s lockout. It is the first time the team will host the NHL’s midseason classic. The last major NHL event the team hosted was the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

The Blue Jackets had to wait a little longer to get the event back that they lost since there will be no All-Star Game this season due to the 2014 Olympics in Sochi already condensing the NHL schedule.
