Bernie Kosar isn't mad. The former Browns quarterback is just embarrassed that Johnny Manziel still hasn't returned his calls.

Kosar, who spoke with USA Today on Tuesday, revealed that he's tried to contact Manziel "18 different ways." Yet his calls have been greeted with nothing but radio silence from Manziel, who could be on his way out of Cleveland after his second straight self-destructive season.

"I'm embarrassed to even tell you how many times I tried," Kosar said. "I have tried to call him directly 18 different ways. If he chooses not to talk to me, that's his choice.

"I'm not mad at him. But there's a point where there's an element of respect that's involved."

Why is Kosar, who quarterbacked the Browns from 1985-93, reaching out to Manziel? He's apparently worried that Manziel's partying habits could kill his career.

"That's definitely a possibility," Kosar, who's previously faced drinking-related issues, said. "I'm not saying he doesn't have a chance to change, but that's a possibility."

Though Manziel improved substantially as a quarterback in 2015, his off-the-field issues persisted. In October, he was involved in a roadside incident with his girlfriend. Then, during the Browns' bye week, Manziel was reportedly spotted partying. The Browns temporarily benched him as a result. Fittingly, his season ended when he didn't show up for a concussion evaluation with the Browns' medical staff

Now, the former first-round pick reportedly wants to head to Dallas. So, if Kosar is looking to reach out to Manziel in the future, he might need to update Manziel's contact information.
