Matt Forte must have a lot of family members in Wisconsin because according to a jersey report released by Dick's Sporting Goods this week, Forte has the top-selling jersey in the state.

That means Forte is somehow outselling Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson and Eddie Lacy, who all play in Wisconsin.

Dick's took into account all in-store and online jersey sales between April 30 and Sept. 3.

Rodgers sold the most jerseys in Wisconsin during the 2014 regular season.

And to be fair, Wisconsin isn't the only state full of confused NFC North fans on this map because Calvin Johnson has the top-selling jersey in Minnesota.

Back to Forte though. I really only have two theories for how Forte is outselling Rodgers: either everyone in Wisconsin already owns an Aaron Rodgers jersey, so he sold zero jerseys in over the past four months, or in a show of pity, Packers fans decided to buy a Bears jersey before Sunday's opener and they went with Forte because no one wants to buy a Jay Cutler jersey.

Speaking of Forte, he has his own theory on how this happened.

"There must be a lot of Bears fans in Wisconsin," Forte said on Friday. "Either that or they're buying it to burn it or something."

Probably the second one.

Fittingly, the Bears will host the Packers on Sunday in what will be the regular-season opener for each team. I'm guessing there will be a lot of Forte jerseys that were bought in Wisconsin at the game.
