LSU offensive lineman La'el Collins was expected to be a first-round pick in the NFL Draft. However, his draft stock is plummeting after he left Chicago to go speak with police in Baton Rouge over the death of his pregnant ex-girlfriend.
Reports have said Collins is not considered a suspect and is only being questioned for additional information, but the circumstances and timing are not good for him. According to FoxSports' Jay Glazer, Collins' agent is worried about his draft stock falling and wants to pull him from the draft and enter him in the supplemental draft instead.

UPDATE: The NFL has denied the request from Collins' agent for him to be removed from the 2015 NFL Draft and be placed in the Supplemental Draft.
NFL rejected La'el Collins' request to be removed from draft until police complete murder investigation, per source. No supp draft for him.

The CBA states explicitly that a player may not bypass a draft that he is eligible for to go to the supplemental draft instead.

It was understandable for the agent to want Collins to be pulled, especially if they felt he would be cleared of any involvement in the case, because some experts have him falling all the way out of the first round because of this.
Teams are obviously beyond hesitant to draft him now. By supplemental draft process should be concluded. Collins was potential top 15 pick
