Earlier this week, LeSean McCoy offered up a theory for why Chip Kelly is so willing to move on from his big-name players.

"I don't think he likes or respects the stars. I'm being honest," McCoy told the Philadelphia Inquirer. "I think he likes the fact that it's 'Chip Kelly and the Eagles.'"

In addition to McCoy, who was shipped to Buffalo in exchange for linebacker Kiko Alonso, the Eagles have also either traded or chosen not to re-sign DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin. Of course, that theory doesn't account for why Kelly traded for Sam Bradford or signed running back DeMarco Murray to a five-year, $40 million deal.

Either way, McCoy is done talking about his former employer.

"I'm finished with Philadelphia," McCoy told PFT radio on Wednesday. "There's no more to talk about. [The interview] I had was with one of the Philly writers, who I've been working with for so long. We were having a conversation about it. I answered honestly.

"But I'm pretty much done with Philadelphia," he continued. "I'm a Buffalo Bill. So any further questions or any answers I'll be giving or answering to, has to be geared to my team. I have no hatred or nothing against Chip or Philly. I'm trying to start my new legacy here."

Meanwhile, McCoy, who signed a five-year, $40 million extension with the Bills, is excited about his future in Buffalo.

“You don’t really notice it until you get here,” he said this week. “The atmosphere, the people and coaches – the talent level – that’s the biggest thing I’ve noticed. From being on winning teams to this team – this is a talented group. ...

“I’m happy to be here, happy to feel wanted. I feel appreciated with this team.”

Fair enough. But the reality is that the Bills, unlike the Eagles in an evenly matched NFC East, will be playing for second place in their division.
