PHOENIX -- Where does Russell Wilson rank as an NFL quarterback is a topic of heavy conversation around the Super Bowl. No one knows exactly how to rank him, largely because his talents are different and he's won with a great running game and great defense.
Our colleague Pete Prisco is comfortable slotting Wilson somewhere though, and it's not a particularly flattering spot: Prisco said on the Eye on Football Podcast (subscribe via iTunes right here!) he thinks Wilson is closer to Tim Tebow than he is to Tom Brady.
We asked Prisco about the Brady comparison because of the similarity in their statistics. He was not on board.
So we asked him which "He’s closer to Tim Tebow than he is to Tom Brady,” Prisco said. "He’s definitely closer to Tim Tebow than Tom Brady."
Why?
"The way he plays. The style of play," Prisco said. "One’s a bull and runs over people and one runs around people. He’s a much more accurate passer than Tebow."
Seahawks fans LOVE snuggling up to Pete on Twitter and whispering sweet nothings (his opinion about Marshawn Lynch in the video above isn't helping). He might receive a few kind words as a result of his opinion on Wilson.
