Is Michael Bennett offside? (Fox)

There are a lot of reasons the Packers lost 28-22 to the Seahawks on Sunday.

For one, they blew a 19-7 lead in the final 2:10 of the game. They also were unable to recover a late onside kick.

Let's also not forget that they only came away with six points on two trips inside of Seattle's two-yard line during the first quarter.

The Packers don't just have to blame themselves for the loss though, they can put a small amount of blame on the refs, who appeared to miss a pivotal offside call on the Packers first possession of the game.

Green Bay's opening drive ended when Richard Sherman picked off Aaron Rodgers in the end zone, however, the interception probably shouldn't have counted because Seahawks defensive lineman Michael Bennett appeared to be offside.

The screen grab at the top of the page was taken moments before Packers center Corey Linsley snapped the ball back to Rodgers. In the screen grab below, you can see where Bennett was right after the snap left Linsley's hand.

Was Bennett offside?

It definitely looked that way to Rodgers, who thought he had a free play, which is why he went for the end zone with his pass.

"Felt like we might have had an offsides on the first interception," Rodgers said after game, via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "Corey snapped it early -- I figured it was a free play -- and Davante's was the only route that was going in the end zone."

Despite the fact that Rodgers thought the interception shouldn't have counted, he still credited Sherman for making a solid play on the ball.

"Sherm made a good play," Rodgers said.

You can see the entire sequence below: Linsley snaps it early. Rodgers goes for the end zone. Sherman picks it off and then Rodgers looks around for a flag.

This isn't why the Packers lost, but it's definitely not going to make Green Bay fans feel any better.
