More NFL offseason: Mock Drafts | Prospect Rankings | Pro Days | Top free agents
In an effort to retool a team that managed just four wins last season, the Falcons have been busy in the opening hour of free agency. CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reports that the the team has signed former Dolphins defensive tackle Paul Soliai to a five-year, $33 million deal (including $14.5 million in guarantees) as well as former Chiefs defensive end Tyson Jackson. The Falcons also addressed the offensive line, which gave up 44 sacks and ranked 24th in rushing offense last season, according to Football Outsiders, by signing guard Jackson's Kansas City teammate, offensive guard Jon Asamoah.
Neither move is surprising given that former Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli is now in the Falcons' front office.
