According to a report from Rivals' Alex Dunlap, former Baylor defensive end Shawn Oakman was accused of assault by an ex-girlfriend in 2013.

The police report of the alleged incident states that Oakman was accused of grabbing the alleged victim and shoving her into a wall. The fight continued and Oakman allegedly continued to shove the victim into things, according to the incident report that was filed.

The alleged victim declined to press charges against Oakman, and according to Dunlap, Baylor knew about the incident, but did not choose to discipline Oakman for it.

Oakman was arrested earlier this month for an alleged sexual assault on a fellow Baylor student after leaving a night club with her on April 3.

Baylor has come under fire in recent months for its handling of sexual assault cases involving athletes. Two former Baylor football players, Tevin Elliott and Sam Ukwuachu, were convicted of sexual assault. Elliott was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2014, and Ukwuachu was sentenced to 10 years felony probation and 180 days in county jail last August.

In March, Elliott's victim filed a Title IX lawsuit against Baylor, claiming school officials were "indifferent to her report of sexual assault and knew of Elliott's proclivity toward violence against women."
