More Orange Bowl: Expert picks -- CFP semifinals | SportsLine forecast 

We made it. Clemson and Oklahoma, which turned respective preseason No. 16 and No. 18 rankings in the CBS Sports Preseason 128 into top-four finishes, will battle it out in the first College Football Playoff semifinal on Thursday at the Orange Bowl in Miami.

This game will feature two high-powered offenses with two highly-touted quarterbacks: Heisman finalist Deshaun Watson for Clemson and Mr. Moxie himself, Baker Mayfield, for the Sooners.

Watson had a monster season with 3,512 passing yards, 887 rushing yards and 41 total touchdowns. Mayfield wasn't far behind, throwing for 3,389 yards with 420 rushing yards and 42 total touchdowns. In other words, you can look forward to seeing some points on New Year's Eve.

Brad Nessler, Todd Blackledge and Holly Rowe will be on the call from Miami for the first semifinal.
