Maybe your college football team is doing something pretty cool for its spring game this year. Sorry, it's not as cool as what Princeton is doing.

The Tigers announced this week that their 2015 spring game will take place March 21 at Kincho Stadium in Osaka, Japan, against the Kwansei Gakuin University Fighters. The Fighters are Japan's reigning national collegiate champions and will face the Tigers in the first-annual "Legacy Bowl."

“This unique opportunity allows us the benefits of experiencing another culture in addition to playing an actual game against one of the best non-American college teams in the world," Tigers coach Bob Surace said in the school's announcement. “We’re looking forward to our Spring Ball preparations beginning on Feb. 27 and kicking off an offseason that will hopefully lead to an excellent season in 2015.”

As unusual as the arrangement sounds, it won't actually be the first meeting between the two programs; the Tigers won 27-25 when they visited Japan in March 2001. The 2015 edition will be played at 1 p.m. local time -- or midnight, Princeton time.

The two schools are linked by Princeton's "Old Nassau" alma mater, which Kwansei Gakuin University has adapted for use as its own alma mater.

The FCS Tigers went 4-3 in the Ivy League and 5-5 overall in 2014.
