Miami junior offensive tackle Ereck Flowers will forgo his senior season with the Hurricanes and enter the 2015 NFL Draft, he told South Florida High School Sports on Monday.

"I have done everything that I can in college as a football player and now it's time to take that next step," Flowers said. "I believe this is the best for my family and myself."

A former four-star recruit from Miami's Norland High School, Flowers has been a fixture at tackle for the Hurricanes offensive line since starting four games at right tackle (and appearing in all 12) as a true freshman.

Flowers missed time during the 2014 season with a knee injury but returned to play well down the stretch and maintain his draft positioning. CBSSports.com's Rob Rang projects Flowers as the 23rd player off the board in the draft's first round.

Flowers is the second Canes junior in as many days to declare for the draft, following star tailback Duke Johnson.
