Gary Andersen has wasted no time filling out his Oregon State staff, announcing Sunday that he has hired Dave Baldwin as offensive coordinator and Kevin McGiven as quarterbacks coach.

Baldwin, who exists Colorado State as offensive coordinator (and interim bowl game coach following the departure of Jim McElwain to Florida), helped lead one of the best offenses in the country in 2014. Quarterback Garrett Grayson, the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year, and wide receiver Rashard Higgins were tremendous under his direction with the Rams finishing 18th in total offense (480.9 yards per game) and 31st in scoring offense (33.9 points per game) this season.

Baldwin worked as Andersen's offensive coordinator for three seasons at Utah State (2009-11) before leaving to coach under McElwain at Colorado State. Replacing him was McGiven, a quarterbacks coach who took over as coordinator under Andersen in 2012 and remained with the Aggies through this season.

"Dave and Kevin bring experience and continuity to our staff and offense," Andersen said in a school release. "I know what to expect from these two as coaches and what to expect from our offense. They absolutely fit our program and Oregon State University, and this is another great step for our future."

Baldwin and McGiven are the latest in a fury of staffing hires made by Andersen over the last week.

On Tuesday, Andersen announced that he had hired two Utah staffers, bringing on defensive coordinator/assistant head coach Kalani Sitake to the same position and defensive line coach Ilaisa Tuiaki as a linebackers coach.

The other members of Andersen's intial Beavers staff are wide receivers Brent Brennan (retained), offensive line coach T.J. Woods (via Wisconsin), defensive line coach Chad Kauha'aha'a (via Wisconsin) and Derrick Odum (via SMU). No running backs coach has been announced.
