Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston's code of conduct hearing began Tuesday and will continue into Wednesday.

Winston could be charged with any of four violations to the school's code of conduct relating to the alleged sexual assault of another then-FSU student in December 2012. If it is determined that Winston has violated the code of conduct, punishments could include probation, suspension and expulsion.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Seminoles are preparing for Georgia Tech, in hopes of capturing a third straight ACC title on Saturday night and secure a spot in the College Football Playoff.

After the hearing concludes, retired Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Major Harding will notify Winston and the woman of his decision, reportedly within 10 days. If charged, Winston would have an opportunity to appeal the decision. In terms of on-field impact, there have been no signs from Florida State suggesting Winston will miss any playing time.

According to ESPN.com, Winston teammates Ronald Darby and Chris Casher, roommates of Winston's who were present the night of the alleged sexual assault, refused to testify at the hearing Tuesday. Casher and Darby presented signed affadavits to state investigators in November 2013 concerning what they witnessed the night of the alleged assault.

Casher and Darby each had hearings earlier this year for possible violations of FSU's student conduct code. Both players were allowed to remain in school and have 23 combined game appearances this season.

The Tallahassee Police Department and State Attorney's Office investigated claims of sexual assault in 2013 but did not charge Winston with any crime.
