Larry Blakeney will retire as Troy's football coach at the conclusion of the 2014 season, the school announced Sunday night.

Blakeney and athletic director John Hartwell will address the media on Monday during a press conference at at 10 a.m.. The longtime coach informed his staff and team on Sunday night after practice.

As the head coach of Troy since 1991, Blakeney, 67, led the Trojans program from Division II to Division I and ranks seventh among active coaches with 175 career victories. Since joining the Sun Belt in 2004, Troy has appeared in five bowl games (2-3) and enjoyed a five-year run as conference champions from 2006-10. 

Troy hosts New Mexico State on Saturday.
