O say can you see...which team West Virginia is playing on Saturday?

Maryland unveiled a new, patriotic alternate uniform for the West Virginia game. The Under Armour-designed look honors the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Baltimore, the land-and-sea battle that inspired Francis Scott Key to compose his poem, The Defence of Fort McHenry, which later became our national anthem, The Star-Spangled Banner.

If you look closely at the uniform, the words Key's poem are written on the jersey, helmet and shoes. The logo on the helmet is the outline of Fort McHenry with the American flag embedded inside.

We dig the historic connection, particularly as Saturday will mark exactly 200 years (Sept. 13, 1814) since that battle in the War of 1812.

They've even got the words to "The Star-Spangled Banner" on the shoes! Though, I think that's only patriotic if you force opponents to read it while running past them on the way to the end zone.
