Western Kentucky has hired Texas A&M assistant coach and former Mississippi State head coach Rick Stansbury as its next head basketball coach, sources told CBS Sports.
A press conference is expected Monday afternoon.
He replaces Ray Harper, who resigned earlier this month.
Stansbury was the head coach of Mississippi State from 1998-2012 and had an overall record of 293-165. He led the Bulldogs to six NCAA Tournament appearances during that span.
Stansbury has been Billy Kennedy's top assistant at Texas A&M since 2014.
Western Kentucky went 18-16 last season.
