Providence's Paschal Chukwu to transfer

After advancing to a second straight NCAA tournament, Providence is set to lose the player who would have been the team's starting center in 2015-16.

Providence big man Paschal Chukwu will transfer, sources told CBSSports.com.

He will have three years of eligibility remaining after sitting out next season per NCAA rules.

The 7-foot-2 big man would have been the Friars' starting center this season after averaging 2.6 points and 2.4 rebounds last year as a freshman.

Chukwu was a former Top-75 recruit out of high school and should have plenty of high-major suitors.

Providence advanced to its second straight NCAA Tournament last season and lost in the Round of 64 to Dayton.
