La. Tech's Mike White withdraws from consideration at Missouri

By Jeff Borzello / College Basketball Writer

Louisiana Tech coach Mike White has withdrawn his name from the Missouri coaching search, sources told CBSSports.com.

Athletic director Mike Alden has played his cards close to the vest since Frank Haith left the Tigers for Tulsa. With a curators meeting scheduled at Missouri for Monday, though, Alden is likely closing in on a candidate.

It won't be White, though.

The former Ole Miss assistant has been mentioned with most big jobs this spring, after winning 56 games the past two seasons.

Other candidates mentioned with the job lately include former UCLA coach Ben Howland and Central Missouri coach Kim Anderson.
