South Florida will hire Kentucky assistant Orlando Antigua as its next head basketball coach, multiple sources told CBSSports.com.

A press conference is expected Tuesday afternoon, and Antigua is expected to remain with UK through the team's Final Four run.

Antigua has been on John Calipari's staff at Kentucky since 2009 and spent the prior season under Calipari at Memphis.

Antigua was promoted to head coach of the Dominican Republic's men's national team last summer.

A 1995 graduate of Pittsburgh, Antigua will replace Stan Heath, who was fired April 14 after seven seasons. The Bulls originally had a deal in place with Manhattan's Steve Masiello, which fell apart following a revelation that Masiello did not have an undergraduate degree from Kentucky, as stated on his resume.
