This is ... magnificent.

Following the team's 70-65 loss at St. John's Sunday night, Creighton happened to bump into Bono. The team was flying out of Teterboro Airport, a small terminal for private planes in northern New Jersey.

As they were waiting about 10 minutes for the team plane to de-ice, Creighton director of basketball operations Jeff Vanderloo noticed the international rock star hanging out in the hub as well. He went up to him, shook his hand, and a few seconds later the team was posing with one of the most famous musicians in history.

Bono was at the airport and getting ready to fly out to Los Angeles, according to Creighton spokesman Rob Anderson. He also happened to know a lot about Omaha, as Bono's boys with Warren Buffett, the humble billionaire who's still based in Nebraska, as well as Buffett's daughter.

Doug McDermott told CBSSports.com a couple of coaches "were freaking out."

Even the team manager had to sneak in a selfie.

If Bono is a part of U2, given Creighton's penchant for the long ball, are the Bluejays We3? Here's another shot, courtesy of Bluejays junior Will Artino.
