NBA 2K is one of the most dominant remaining sports franchises in gaming. While console gaming takes a tumble thanks to the rise of mobile gaming's widespread popularity and the elimination of the NCAA Football and Basketball games by EA Sports, 2K studios' sporting star seems to get bigger and bigger every season.

2K released the first screenshots from this year's edition, NBA 2k16, and they are gorgeous. First up is Steph Curry.

Even Steph can't believe he looks so true to life. The facial hair there, with the light mustache and heavier short goatee is spot on, as are the eybrows.

Curry's signature mouthpiece-chewing is already slated to appear in the game, and while Michael Jordan is featured on a special edition cover, Curry, Anthony Davis, and James Harden all have cover editions as well.  The big question? Will Riley Curry get her own appearance for a podium appearance clip?

Speaking of eyebrows, or rather eyebrow, here's Anthony Davis.

Got the wingspan down locked, and the finger tape is spot-on as well. Davis should look great in the new Christmas jerseys as well.

Here's the Beard, James Harden.

OK, he looks a little weird there, but then again, Harden looks a little weird, truth be told.

Still, those are impressive graphics. We'll have more on NBA 2K16's release as we get closer to the season. NBA 2K16 will be released on September 29th on Playstation 4, Playstation 3, XBox One and 360, as well as Windows PC.
