Things did not end well for Rajon Rondo in Dallas. He openly feuded with Rick Carlisle, the Mavs didn't give him a share of their playoff earnings and he parted ways with the team thanks to a "back injury." Nothing went right for Rondo in Dallas. Even Connect 4, a game that Rondo truly has a passion for, didn't go in his favor.

Rondo's expertise in Connect 4 is well known and upon arriving in Dallas, he quickly showed off his skills by beating Carlisle in a game.

But while Carlisle was easy prey for Rondo, there was one member of the Mavs that actually beat him -- Charlie Villanueva.

Believe it or not, but according to Dirk Nowitzki, Villanueva was able to pull off the rare Connect 4 win against Rondo. From an interview Nowitzki did with KTCK-AM 1310 (via the Dallas Morning News):

On if he ever played Connect Four with Rondo:

"I did not, but I saw him get beat though. Before the game, one of his first games, one of the Mavs' employees brought a Connect Four over and it was just sitting there. I think Charlie V played him one time real quick. I walked by, it was before the game and everyone has their routines, and I walk by and Charlie put the last one in to beat him. So it was like a melee back there. They were yelling and screaming. And I was like, 'What's going on here? It's gameday. We have a game in less than an hour. That was huge for Charlie. He let Rondo hear that for the next couple of weeks for sure."
