About a month ago, Oklahoma City Thunder center Kendrick Perkins tried to fire up his team against the Sacramento Kings, who had surprisingly started the season quite well. A camera caught him saying, "These motherf-----s are still the Sacramento Kings" during a huddle. Evidently, Sacramento forward Rudy Gay didn't take kindly to that, via Sactown Royalty's Blake Ellington:
Kendrick Perkins spoke negatively of the Kings early in season. Rudy Gay: "He might as well play with his face painted, he's a clown to me."

What a quote. This makes Gay the second opposing player to publicly call out Perkins this year -- Golden State Warriors forward Marreese Speights said, "His game is terrible' after a win over Oklahoma City in November, and then doubled down on his criticism of Perkins' trash talk in a radio interview. Perkins is clearly the kind of guy who is beloved by his teammates, but can be grating to others.
The Kings play the Thunder on Tuesday in Sacramento. It'll be on ESPN. Can't imagine Perkins getting a warm reception.
