Pablo Sandoval's tenure with the Red Sox has not gone well. First and foremost, he struggled last season and lost his job to rookie Travis Shaw this spring despite a $17 million salary.

Sandoval's weight has also been a hot topic. He's always been a big guy, that's just his body type, but no one really complained when he was producing. Now that Sandoval is struggling, his weight is getting more attention.

This is not going to help matters. On Saturday, Sandoval managed to break his belt while taking a swing. Here's the action footage:

Sandoval removed the broken belt and continued the at-bat belt-less. He struck out against Blue Jays righty R.A. Dickey, then put on a new belt after returning to the dugout.

Poor Pablo. The guy took his demotion to the bench in stride, saying it was best for the team, and now he's going to get ripped apart for this belt incident even though it's the kind of thing that could happen to any player.

Sandoval, 29, is owed $77 million through 2019.
