The Cubs beat the Cardinals on Friday night (CHC 7, STL 2) thanks in large part to rookie outfielder Jorge Soler, who hit two home runs in his third MLB game. He went deep in his first career at-bat earlier this week, as I'm sure you remember.

Those were not cheap, folks. Soler absolutely crushed both of those balls.

If the kid still had any skeptics coming into Friday, hitting a pair of mammoth homers against the rival Cardinals is a great way to win over some fans.

By the way, Soler is the first Cubs player to hit three homers in his first three MLB games since ... Javier Baez a few weeks ago.
