A member of the Mets staff accidentally sent out general manager Sandy Alderson's credit card information -- including the security code, expiration date ... the works -- to "nearly the entire New York press corps," report multiple New York outlets, including ESPN New York. Apparently that email was supposed to be headed to a Broadway venue in order to get some tickets to a show.

According to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York, a quick follow up email was sent with the text reading: "Please disregard the previous email. Sorry for any confusion."

Well, I don't think there's much to be confused about. It's a funny mishap. It is also probably a good way to get fired, so maybe it's the real-life George Costanza (yes, I know Costanza wanted to get fired from the Yankees to go to the Mets, but maybe now he wants to go back?).
