It's official, Davis Love III is returning to the scene of the 2012 Ryder Cup crime. Only in spirit, of course, as the 2016 version will be held at Hazeltine, not Medinah like it was in 2012.

Love III guided that team to a 10-6 Saturday lead before the United States got lit on fire in the Sunday singles matches and lost 14.5 to 13.5.

On Tuesday, PGA of America officially announced that Love III will again be at the helm of the Americans.

"It's a new business model, a new team building model ... to build a new team culture and a consistent plan for the future," said Love III.

This is the people's choice, so to speak.

"The people" being the golfers most likely to be playing in the 2016 Ryder Cup. So while it's not a sexy name to most, it will be popular in the clubhouse which, if we're being honest, is the only place that matters.
