This is what it has come to, I guess. NFL kickers are now offering to play Tiger Woods for $100,000 a hole ... and giving him strokes.

That's what happened on Wednesday, anyway, as Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee tweeted that he would play Wood for $100K a hole and give him four strokes.

Four!

One of the two best golfers ever getting four strokes from an NFL kicker!

The real issue is how many people who follow golf closely believe Scobee, reportedly a scratch or better golfer, would actually win.

Karen Crouse of the New York Times even posited that this is the exact kind of thing Woods should do.

"For the foreseeable future, Woods should play golf the way he did as a child. It is not remotely the same as suggesting he swing the way he did then."
"Every day he should play at least 18 holes, preferably with friends, and let his imagination run loose. He should throw balls into the woods and try to curve shots around trees."
"He should purposely hit from the fairway of one hole to the green of another — surely, no one at his home course, the Medalist, will mind — to infuse his routine with fun."

She might not be wrong.
